Restaurants around Covent garden/Leicester square
Taking the missus to town Saturday, I'm looking for a not too pricey place. Any recommendations ? Any cuisine really.

you can get a pork and seaweed bun from a street vendor on Newport Court in Chinatown for £1.70. Great filler if youre on the lash round Soho way and surprisingly tasty, especially when covered in soy sauce and chilli.

I have arrived at a suggestion by extrapolating the information I know about you and applying it to the question atop the thread.

Foil wrapped meatpaste sandwiches on a bench in Leicester Sq.

Very touristy round there, I'd go to China Town or have a wander round Soho and go to an authentic looking Italian. Both options are not expensive.

W4's is probably the best suggestion - take her up the Oxo Tower.

Dishoom & a Jamie Oliver Italian are a couple of doors up from Stringfellows near Leic Sq. There is a Mexican along there which I went to a couple of weeks back whose name escapes me which was not bad.

Of course THE Leic Sq restaurant is J Sheekey's

You sound like the type to splash out so why not some dropped chips warmed generously under your armpit until tepid.

Plenty round there of a night.
